Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics Applications.

We invite submissions emphasizing methodological and analytical exposition of theoretical constructs applied to solving highly relevant business problems in the general areas of Supply Chain Management and Business Analytics. The scope of topics in this research area is wide and inter-disciplinary. Topics emphasizing the intersection of Operations Management with problems / issues in information and knowledge management, enterprise resource planning and integrated systems, quality management, and systems engineering will be entertained for publication. We are interested in promoting research in emerging areas such as sustainable supply chain operations and design, data-driven modeling, and retail management in the public and private sectors. Papers emphasizing model development, as well as operational and system-wide improvements are especially encouraged.

Production Management, Scheduling and Logistics.

High quality papers with a special focus in Production Management, Scheduling and/or Logistics are very welcome. Research may include deterministic or stochastic, robust and multi-objective or game-theoretic approaches, heuristics or exact methods or approximations in the variety of the aforementioned areas. We are especially interested in models and methods resulting from real applications, e.g. from manufacturing, project scheduling, health care, transport and routing or personnel planning, as well as in more theoretical papers solving a long standing research question.

Optimization; Health Care Systems and Applications.

We seek submissions related to the use of optimization models and techniques to address practical optimization problems. Of particular interest are papers that present effective and contemporary modeling and solution approaches for a novel application or application area, as well as ones that contain breakthroughs on solving established problems in application domains of considerable interest. Papers on problems arising in private and public sectors, including the area of health care systems and service delivery, are welcome.

DEA; Multicriteria Decision Analysis; Service Operations; Sustainability Operations.

We seek to publish high quality papers on DEA, Multicriteria Decision Analysis, Service Operations, and Sustainabe Operations with a variety of methodological and applied Management Science approaches. Suitable papers should make either a theoretical/methodological contribution by aiding in the modeling and optimizing of specific operational issues, or an empirical/practical contribution by demonstrating significant impacts on operational practice. We especially encourage papers which deal with multi-objective and interdisciplinary problems such as innovative applications of DEA in finance and service operations and sustainable operations issues across the interface between the economic, environmental, and social dimensions of triple bottom line. All published papers must meet a high standard of rigor and validity, and the research findings should provide new insights and implications to the practice of management science.
